Daniel,

I've been looking for ages (well not too dilligently) for a device that will be able to store ssl client cert, pgp key and ssh key and work under linux.

Thanks for yor tutorial, it was most insightful, I see here, you've managed 2 out of three.

have you managed to store ssh key in the token and use it with openssh? How about openvpn?

In fact I was able to use these instructions to reinitialize an old key running in windows. The commands are a bit different to create the cert in openssl, but doable. Thanks again.

It'd be a great venture for an ISP to do this (or to at least consider something like this). Especially as bandwidth costs a pretty penny. The only problem is the cost effectiveness as expensive hardware needs to be purchased for this (ie lots of storage). There's that balance between how much they charge their users, how much bandwidth they use, and how much it would cost to incorporate a massive caching system. Someone should graph it!

Plus another issue is the software to do this. Best would be having it transparent to the customer and all done back end on the ISP/Server's end. At most maybe having to put in proxy server settings into your browser.
